Job Information

Job Duties: 
  • Sort incoming material for the MAIN and Subject Specialty libraries
  • Keep a daily count of all incoming and outgoing material in the Distribution unit
  • Assist with the workflow of material within the department
  • Maintain organization of shelves within the department
  • Page material from the MAIN stacks
  • Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications: 
  • Must exhibit a strong work ethic and pay excellent attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently, independently or as part of a team, and take initiative when workflow varies
  • Able to assist other units when necessary
  • Able to work a minimum of two hour blocks of time
  • Able to push full book trucks
  • Able to work during some or all breaks and/or semesters
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Knowledge of a Western European language (French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish).
Special Notes: 
  • Semester work hours are: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri; Summer session work hours are: 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri
