Fall semester hours:8:50 am - 7 pm, Monday-Thursday. Friday: 8:50 am - 5 pm, Saturday/Sunday: 12:45 - 5 pm.

Job Information

Job Duties: 

Chemistry & Physics/Astronomy Library:

* Will learn how to open and close both libraries.

* Staff busy circulation desk using Millennium circulation program.

* Page and shelve 2-hour course reserve books.

* Record user statistics throughout work shift; answer directional questions.  Know when to refer reference questions.

* Perform stack maintenance by shelving and shelf-reading book and journal collections.

Required Qualifications: 

* Have a proactive and courteous public service attitude ( pleasant, approachable, patient).

* Have the physical ability to push/pull heavy book trucks and lift 20 lbs.

* High attention to detail.  Be punctual and reliable.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Exhibit a strong work ethic.

* Can work independently and work as a team member.

Desired Qualifications: 

Preference may given to those who can committ to working upcoming intersessions (winter break, spring break & summer 2020).

Special Notes: 

The job will be at the Chemistry Library or the Physics/Astronomy Library (or both).

Candidate must work 3 consecutive semesters.  

Must be willing to sub if needed in another EPS division library.
