Job Information

Job Duties: 

This is a technical processing position. The Monograph Receiving Unit is responsible for opening, sorting and processing books from the US, Western Europe, Latin America, Africa and South Asian countries. This position opens shipments, reviews invoices, distributes books to the appropriate units, processes books received on approval, reviews and processes vendor reports, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Must be available for Summer shifts.

Required Qualifications: 

Aptitude for accuracy and detailed work are absolutely essential to this position. The ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions is a necessity. Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and performing work following established procedures. Must be reliable and able to maintain a work schedule of a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications: 

If you can work over summer sessions and breaks it would be a plus. Foreign language recognition (Western European and South/Southeast Asian) is also a plus.

Special Notes: 

You will be asked to lift boxes up to 35 lbs. and push heavy book trucks. Needed is someone who can stay dedicated to learning the details of Monograph Receiving and has great aptitude for detail and accuracy. This is detailed work.
