Flexible between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. The Bancroft Library is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Information

Job Duties: 

Duties: Assist with processing and routing of historic and one of a kind special materials for digitization. Includes data entry of information related to manuscript documents, and photographs into databases and spreadsheets; quality control projects, social media tasks and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

Required qualifications: Good typing ability and computer skills, accuracy, attention to detail, legible handwriting skills, ability to carefully handle fragile original materials, and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Desired Qualifications: 

Desired qualifications: Familiarity with California and San Francisco Bay Area history preferred.   Previous experience with special collections, Microsoft Access and Excel, and digital imaging a plus.

Special Notes: 

Special notes: Students who can commit to working at least through fall semester preferred.  No evening or weekend hours.
